| Manufacturers |
They invent, design and manufacture the product
| Importaters |
They launch all or some of the manufacture of the product outside France (mainly in China or Eastern Europe) then handle shipping, respect for CE standards, exchange rate, taxes, etc.
| Suppliers |
Suppliers are importers who only sell their products to retailers. They do not work with advertisers because they cannot manage customisation techniques or branding. They are however specialised in wholesale techniques and on importation regulations. They negotiate very large orders for basic products that their retailer customers will then customise downstream.
| Retailers= Distributors |
Combination of a wholesaler and an advertising agency specialised only in promotional products. They listen to the needs of advertisers for their communication campaigns and offer then customised products.
| Branders |
Silk-screen printing, engravers, printers, embroiderers, hot-stampers, etc. These are service providers used by retailers to print a logo on the products that they have chosen from suppliers.
| Advertisers= End customers |
These are professional customers, businesses who will use the promotional products to advertise their brand to the mass market.
| Communication agencies |
They advise advertisers on various media for their communication campaigns: Web, Print, TV, Radio, Products, etc. Although they are often more innovative than retailers, they do not have the same ability to manage the whole range of standards in this market, which are constantly changing, neither are they able to manage the whole catalogue of products.
